I truly enjoyed my stay at the Romantic-Pension Albrecht, Since 1901. The location offered breathtaking views of the castles, and the cozy atmosphere made for a delightful experience. The staff was very helpful, assisting us with our bags and providing great local recommendations.

Staying at the Romantic Pension Albrecht was memorable for several reasons. I loved the magnificent view of Neuschwanstein Castle from my balcony—it was stunning every morning. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast in the charming dining room included warm sandwiches, which felt like a home-cooked meal. However, the absence of tea or coffee in the room was a letdown, especially since there was a kettle available. The bathroom needed attention, showing signs of mold, and the check-in time of 5 PM felt inconvenient for travelers arriving early. Parking was limited, but free, which was a plus.

The room size fit us perfectly, with a fantastic view of Neuschwanstein Castle from the balcony. Cleanliness stood out, making the space feel welcoming despite the building's age.

However, the bathroom left a lot to be desired, featuring mould on the ceiling and shower curtain that clearly hadn’t seen a scrub in ages. WiFi was painfully slow, practically non-existent on the second floor, and the bedding lacked freshness—sheets with small holes and flat pillows ruled the night. Breakfast was disappointing, offering a set meal of stale rolls, paper-thin slices of meat and cheese, and rotton apples that didn't meet expectations.

Stunning views from the balcony made mornings unforgettable, especially gazing at the nearby castle. The peaceful location provided a welcome respite from tourist crowds, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere. However, the absence of an elevator made lugging bags to the top floor inconvenient, and breakfast left much to be desired with limited options and poor quality. The service felt rushed and inattentive, which detracted from an otherwise nice experience.

Just a top selection for a weekend stopover in Hohenschwangau with good value for price. The shower was surprisingly spacious for the small bathroom. Avoid peak mosquito hours in September to enjoy your stay.

Read this before you decide

The attic room was spotless and very comfortable, providing a lovely view of the castle. The staff were friendly, making the stay inviting and enjoyable! Breakfast was excellent value for money, too!

Parking was free, but limited dining options in the area left us needing to venture out for meals. The location does require some walking, especially to reach the stairs for the rooms.

Laundry was helpful. the staff forwarded our request quickly.
